Our Story
Milk the way it was meant to be! Fresh, sweet, raw, with a heavy creamline from our grass-based Jersey cows.
Our herdshare started with a single cow, the intention to produce milk for our family and one or two neighbors. Time passed, that cow needed a friend and a few more neighbors needed milk! It was clear that there was a need for high quality local milk in our community.
Thus our herdshare was created, and has continued to grow!
Our Milk
You can’t purchase raw, unprocessed milk in Virginia. However you don’t need to put a milk cow in your backyard in order to have access to high quality raw milk! As a herdshare member, you are a part owner in our dairy herd and receive a weekly portion of the herd’s production.
We offer a variety of pickup locations, and also home delivery! Pickup points are currently located in Lynchburg, Forest, Rustburg, Elon, and Amherst.
Milk is never skimmed, and comes packaged in reusable glass jars with a natural heavy creamline. Empty jars are returned to your pickup location at your next milk pickup.
Cream is also available to herdshare members!
